PAHO Governing Body Resolutions:

PAHO Resolutions may be found in the PAHO Institutional Memory Database.

There are three sets of organizational resolutions. Their document numbering system uses Spanish acronyms for their numbering system, and you may search for these as a subject using the Spanish Subject Heading of the Conference combined with the English or Spanish Subject Heading for "PAHO Resolutions" or by Resolution Numbers. The names of the conferences are:

Executive Committee = Comité Ejecutivo de la OPS Acronym: (CE)
Directing Council = Consejo Directivo de la OPS Acronym: (DC)
Pan American Sanitary Conference = Conferencia Sanitaria Panamericana de la OPS Acronym: (CSP)

Search all the Executive Committee Resolutions using the corresponding Spanish Conference Subject Heading
Search all the Directing Council Resolutions using the corresponding Spanish Conference Subject Heading
Search all the Pan American Sanitary Conference Resolutions using the corresponding Spanish Conference Subject Heading

Using the Resolution Numbers - Examples:

If you have the resolution number, put it in the "Words & Phrases" line using the following format as examples:
"CE120.R1"
"CD43.R1"
"CSP25.R1"

Because of the imbedded "period" in the document number, you must include the resolution number with quotes so that the system will accept it for searching.

If you want ALL resolutions pertaining to either the CE or CD or CSP, enter one of these meeting names in full (as indicated above) in the "Subject" line and enter PAHO Resolutions in another "Subject" line (change pull down menu and select another option as Subject).

See Example below:

"Subject": Conferencia Sanitaria Panamericana de la OPS (must be in Spanish) and keep default of Boolean AND)
"Subject": Enter (in English or Spanish): PAHO resolutions OR resoluciones ops

If you do not have the resolution number, then you will need to do a word or subject search.

See Example below:

In "Subject" line enter: PAHO Resolutions (could be in English or Spanish as above)
In "Words or Phrases" enter the word(s) you want (Could be English or Spanish) AND/OR
In "Subject" enter the subject word(s) you want (Check the Browse list to pick the correct Spanish Subject Heading from the Index. They are currently in Spanish only.

Use pull down menu under Language to limit to English or Spanish language documents (only a few are available in Portuguese).

Consult the Search Manual for additional information.

If you want ALL documents - in English (without the resolutions) pertaining to either the CE or CD or CSP, do the following:
